Retired Adolescent Partnership Programme (RAPP)

The Retirees Adolescent Partnership Programme is a Community Oriented Programme implemented by the Ministry of Community Development, which seeks to utilize the skills and experience of retired professionals to provide assistance and supervision to youths between the ages of 11 – 16. Its vision is to create a nurturing and disciplined environment, where children can learn and develop in positive ways.

Objectives:

  • To provide youths of Junior Secondary Schools age (11 - 16) with access to supplemental and remedial classes and guidance in character formation
  • To expose participants to sports, culture and life skills to facilitate learning while at the same time addressing their holistic development
  • To engage retired persons in the process of nation building
  • To promote mentoring and support for our youth within the Community Environment
  • To provide a disciplined and nurturing environment for young people

Target:

  • Youth between the ages of 11-16 years.

How to Apply:

Participants will be selected through recommendations from schools, members of the

community and parents. Priority will be given to:

  • Low performers
  • Students who lack parental guidance and support
